Chairman

Tony Van Maanen

Tony started playing korfball in 2006. Coming from Dutch heritage he has taken to Korfball rapidly and managed the Newbies team in the 2007 Spring League to a runners up position. Outside of Korfball Tony is married with two children and is a keen cricket coach.

 

Secretary

Jenny O'Shea

Jenny started Korfball in 2007 and has rapidly picked up the game representing both First and second teams for Auckland. Originally the club Social Sec with her catch phrase "I know how to party" she promises to bring an aspect of fun to the Secretary position.

 

Treasurer

Paul Garwood

Paul started playing Korfball in late 2006 and by the Spring League of '07 was running his own team!. Outside of Korfball Paul ensures all our mail goes missing I mean gets there on time working for NZ Post.

 

 

Social Secretary

Julie Marshall

Julie started playing Korfball in 2007, has represented Auckland and played in the Newbies team runners up in the Spring '07 League. Julie was headhunted into the Social Sec role after the club spotted her Picinic abilities at Wenderholm over the summer.

 

Development Officer

Cameron Wasley

Cam comes from The 'Naki and has the mullet to prove it. He started playing Korfball in 2004 and was selected into the National Squad for the 2006 AOKC. Outside of Korfball he drinks beer for a living. Lucky!!

 

 

Coach / Joint Development Officer

Matthew Day

Matt was sentenced by the military in 1975 for a crime he didn't commit. He was taken to a maximum security compound where he promtly escaped. If you have a korfball, if you can find him, maybe you could call....

 

Team Manager

Carol Eddy

We welcome Carol back to the committee after a years break. She started playing in 2004 as a founder member of Auckland Korfball. Now competing at a social level she will be managing the regional side in the NPC. Outside of korfball Carol heads up HR at WorldxChange.

 

Competitions Co-Ordinator

Jim Gardner

Jim arrived from the UK in April 2006 having escaped England's South West. He holds the record for the minimum time between arrival in the country (6AM) and attending a Korfball training session (7PM). He also holds the Auckland Cider consumption record proving you can take the man out of Scrumpy land.........
